Add sugar to shopping list 1-1/2 cups sugar

Add butter or margarine, softened to shopping list 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened

Add shortening to shopping list 1/2 cup shortening

Add eggs to shopping list 2 eggs

Add all-purpose flour to shopping list 2-3/4 cups all-purpose flour

Add cream of tartar to shopping list 2 teaspoons cream of tartar

Add baking soda to shopping list 1 teaspoon baking soda

Add salt to shopping list 1/4 teaspoon salt

Add sugar to shopping list 3 tablespoons sugar

Add ground cinnamon to shopping list 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Directions:

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix 1-1/2 cups sugar, the butter, shortening and eggs in large bowl. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.

Shape dough by rounded teaspoonfuls into balls. Mix 3 tablespoons sugar and the cinnamon; roll balls in mixture. Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 8-10 minutes or until set. Immediately remove from cookie sheet. Cool completely on wire rack.
