Add medium onion, finely chopped to shopping list 1 medium onion, finely chopped

Add butter or margarine to shopping list 1/4 cup butter or margarine

Add (10 oz. each) frozen leaf spinach, thawed and drained to shopping list 3 pkgs. (10 oz. each) frozen leaf spinach, thawed and drained

Add half-and-half cream to shopping list 1/2 cup half-and-half cream

Add coarsely chopped pecans to shopping list 1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans

Add dry bread crumbs to shopping list 1/3 cup dry bread crumbs

Add salt to shopping list 1 teaspoon salt

Add ground nutmeg to shopping list 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Add pepper to shopping list 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Add dry bread crumbs to shopping list 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs

Add butter or margarine, melted to shopping list 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted

Directions:

In a skillet, saute onion in butter until tender.

In a large bowl, combine onion, spinach, cream, pecans, bread crumbs, salt, nutmeg and pepper; mix well. Transfer to a greased 1 1/2 qt. baking dish.

Combine topping ingredients; sprinkle over the spinach mixture.

Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 30 min. or until lightly browned.
